The committee approved the four measures ‘which now re- turn to the Senate for final reading. They already have been passed by the Commons.
At the committee's request, Dr. Joseph W: Willard, deputy welfare minister, placed on the record the percentages of per- sons in the age group 65-69 re- ceiving old age assistance.

3,000 BOTTLES DUMPED IN SINK
BOSTON (AP) — A liquor concern couldn’t even give away its supply of more than 3,000 bottles of rye whisky and bourbon — so every bottle was emptied down the drain.
The Sidney B. Flashman Company, distillers and liq- uor brokers, had to get rid of the liquor because it is moving from Scollay Square. The. old building is coming down to make way for con- struction of a government centre.
The liquors were samples for tasting. Because no tax is required on such bottles
