C.M B.A.—The C. M. B. A. of Tignish gave a grand entertainment in their ball on Friday night last, a prominent feature of which was a magnificent eration On this well known organization by Rev. Father Burke, its agent in this province. A number of local ladies and gentlemen took part in the programme with great credit to themselves. Commendatory speeches were made by Reve. D. McDonald and F. Turbide. A pleasing and novel feature of the entertainment was the serving between the parts of the programme of coffee and cake. Dr. Murphy, the popular president of the C. M, B. Mr. M. J Keating, press representative of Keith’s Theatre, planned and directed ac entertaiament recently given in Boston for the benedict of the homeless sufferers by the Windsor fire. The entertainment , was given in the Bijou Opera House, the free use of which was kindly allowed by Mr. Keith, and it wasa suceess from & financial as well as an artistic standpoint.

The friends of Mrs. .L. ‘C. Worthy will hear with regret that she was attackel by paralysis on Saturday afiernoon, one side being affected. All that medical skill cau do to effect an émprovemest in her cou- dition 18 beng done, but there was po change to nute up to two o’clock this afteraoon. Mre Worthy had been ill fora day or two before the attack, but nothing serious was thoagut of.
