Without any moral sense, or good feeling, or priaciple, he seemed much to resemble an animal, He used to boast that if he chose to

GENERAL PROSPECTS.

Provided shipments of supplies are con- trolled, and shippers generally avoid show- ing too great an anxiety to cultivate busi- ness, we have every reason to believe a
