Sudden Death Yesterday Of Mr. Roy Mills

The death occurred suddenly I! the City yesterday of Mr. Roy mil; age 36, following e Ieilue while he was engaged at work with uidge and building gang in the nadlun National Railway yard. Mi; Mills. a veteran of World war II. was taken ill with I heart attack shortly before noon and died menambuluioeashewubeinl rushed to the hospital for emer- gency treatment. He left the Is- land during the war with the 8th aeige Battery and served for the duration. The late Mr. Mills is survived by his wife. the former Ethel Hill of Mayiield, and three children. Gordon, Heather and Patsy. An- other son, Barry predeceased him two years ago. The following broth- ere and sisters are left to mourn his passing: Frank and Gordon, Charlottetown: Ben. West Royalty; Helen (Mrs. Robert Stewart). City: rem (Mrs. Carl Crosbyi. West agyglty; Mary 1Mrs. Michael Sim- ooe). Winnipeg. Elsie (Mrs. Ho- wud White) Milton.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Mills, both at whom predeceased him,

Nurses Alumnae Meeting Held

Monthly meeting of the Prince Edward Island Hospital Nurses, Alumnae was held last night Wll.ll' very large attendance. President Mrs. Keith Macxinnon presided. Roll call was answered by repeat- ing the Lord's Prayer in unison.

The minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary, Miss Florence MacLean, and approved. The treasurer. Mis Anne Jenkins. presented a most satisfactory fin- e.ncial report. It was decided to purchase a brass plaque to be placed on the piano donated to the Cundall Hamel by the Alumnae. Association mi 1060.

A donation of 525 was voted to be given to the nursing registory. Following the business session a melt educational and interesting lecture was delivered by Miss Fran- ces Johnstone, director of the Arts Centre on her recent trip to Europe. A delicious lunch was then served.
