Randy Muttart rounded out the scoring in the game after John Bekkers had pulled the X-Men to within two goals.

Sunday afternoon saw a game which was a lot closer

than the final score would lead us to believe. The Ca-

pers jumped into a quick 2-0 first period lead on goals by Darren Gardiner and Dave MacLean. From then on rookie-goalie Thane Hughes making his second start, and first at home, shut the door on the Capers until it was way too late. Darren Mur- phy pulled the Panthers to within one goal when he knocked in his own rebound at the side of the net.
