Brutal Murder.
New Wesrminster, B. C., Jan. 21.
JA brutal murder was committed last Friday night near the mouth of Fraser
river. A neighbor visiting the house of J. A. Harris found Harris’ body on the floor with cuts on the head, one nearly
severing the head fromthe body. There is
no clue to the murderer. The house was ransacked, and the door locked from the
outside.

We have received advices from the meeting held at noon. But the meeting at Mount Stewart was very large and influential. Liberal- Conservatives were present in large force, and Messrs.
