The Charlottetown Islanders led by Walter Pswlyrhyn and the xoaltendinc of Ray Frederick along with an outstanding performance by all team members roared to o 6-1 victory over the Glace Bay Miners at the Forum last night.

Pswlyshyn, at his shupahooting best. fired four goals behind goalie Bob Arnell in one of the finest goal setting exhibitions seen in the M. M. H. L. this season. Three of his goals were scored in the first period and the other in the int Twice he hit the goal post in bids for the fifth goal.

His first goal resulted from I great play by "Bucko" Trainer who put Walter in the clear. Goal number two was a 30-foot. slap shot that glanced of1'MscKen.zle's imce while the Miners were I man short. His third goal came on a pass-out from behind the net by Trainer and his fourth was I wicked 20 foot shot that steamed through Arnell's legs.

But his great performance could not overshadow that of Ray Pred- erick. The Cat from Chicoutiml lost his shutout in the most mis- erable fashion imaginable. The puck came out from behind the net. struck s stick and squeezed through Frederick's legs.

The disc was barely moving and had only come to a stop when the red light flashed. Frederick grab- bed the puck and be along with his team-mates, and fans in the southern end protested that the puck had never crossed the line.

Long after the game fans who were standing behind the net were that it wasn't 3 legal Koal but the officials ruled otherwise. In the rccord books it counts and it broke one of the finest bids for it shutout that has been staged in the Forum for quite a. while.

The 6-1 score did not indicate. the closeness of the play. The Miners played on fairly even terms

in the net spelled the difference Ray made 28 slo against 29 by his opposl e Bob Arneil in the other end.
