Hello and welcome to your fi- nal year of preparing for a well- deserved, fun-filled graduation. I, along with the other members of the Senior Class Executive, would like to that all Seniors who voted in the Senior Class Execu- tive election on Tuesday, Septem- ber 27, 1988. Special thanks go to Joan Masterson, who spent a lot of her personal time organiz- ing, implementing, and conclud- ing the election. Thanks also to all Seniors who worked at the polling station during the elec- tion.

After being in office for only several days, the Senior Class Ex- ecutive has been busy settling fi- nancial records, meeting Univer- sity officials who are closely con- nected to Convocation, organiz- ing Pub dates, attending meet- ings, and planning activities.

Foreign Service

The Secretary of State for Ex- ternal Affairs invites Canadians from all backgrounds to apply for the Foreign Service.

The Secretary of State for Ex- ternal Affairs, the Right Honor- able Joe Clark, on Sept 22 called Canadians of all backgrounds to take advantage of career opportu- nities in Canada’s foreign service. In the coming weeks, officers of the Department of External Af- fairs will be visiting universities across Canada to speak about the opportunities and challanges of a career in the foreign service.

The aim of the recruitment process is to attract applica- tions from talented Canadians of all ethnic backgrounds and from all parts of the country. Mr. Clark said “The foreign service is
