C, A., was the speaker at Thursday night's meet- ing of the‘ Y's Men's Club which was held in the Club rooms of the new Y.M.C.A. building. Mr. MscConneii traced the history o! the Y in relation to boys’ work, particularly mentioning the part played by the Charlottetown Y in this worthy work. "Boys," said the speaker, "are a bank in which we invest our future." At beautiful “Sunset Lodge" you_ may sec a very dignified elderly lady in the person of Miss Sarah Nelson, aged 94. Miss Nelson. a former school teacher in this Province and in the U. S. A.. has travelled extensively. is well-read and mien today keeps nhrenst of thc- times by reading her daily paper as well as the best na- tional magazines. This lively energetic lady gets about every day and thoroughly cn- joys life. Miss Nelson is justly proud of the fact that she is a descendant of Lord Nelson, famous British figure of the seven seas, who laid down his lifc in thc his- toric batile of Trafalgar.

Miss Nelson has an 88-year-old sisler living at 102 Fitzroy St., City.

She- doesn't think ninety-four 1s really old and anticipates living until she is at ions! onr hundred.

MR. GEORGE TURNER

George Turner,’ the subject of this sketch was born on the Win- sloe Road almost a t-oniury ngn. Three times married, his first wife was Rebecea West of Brackloy Point. His second wife was Jun»: Taper of North Granville. while his third lady, Helen Rodd, came from his own district, \Vinsloc.

Mr. Turner is 1-1 life-long resident of the glislriet, and, in his younger yours, was a capable and successful farmer.

He is still hale and hearty and has been a companion of Lady Nico- tine for as long back as he can remember.

In his palmy days M1". 'l'urnr" was a prominent figure at the Old Exhibition Grounds and usuuilv could be seen st the stock rim; where fine animals from his farm were being exhibited.

MRS. CHARLES PRIDHAM

Another grand old person on tins honor roll is Mrs. Charles Pridham. who attained her 91st birthday last August.

This veteran of the "bullion Aer.‘ Farm". resides with her daughter‘. Mrs. Austin Rix. at blonirosc.

Despite her advanced years Mrs. Pridham is able to be about almost every day. Her hearing is excellent. and her memory has not been im- paired by the passing years, which in itself. is quite remarkable.

There is a certain saying that. we often use when some people are ‘ described. Oh, we say they are‘ trying to "keep up with the Joneses" and when we hear that we instinctively say to ourselves; ‘well they have little originality because they so readily take their cue from others."
