Now, therefore, in order to the discovery and punishment of the party. or parties, guilty of the aforesaid felonious otfence, I have

thought lit, by and with the advice and consent of Her Majesty’s Council, to proclaim, and I do hereby proclaim and offer a reward of

FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS, to any person, or persons, not the actual party to the act, who will give such information and evidence as will lead to the discovery, apprehension and conviction of the otI‘ender, or offenders.

Given under my hand and the great Seal of this Island, at Char lottetown. in the said Island, this Sixth day of June, A.D., 1565, and in the Twenty-eighth year of llerMajesty’s reign.

LIGHTS AT GAPE RACE AND GAPE PINE.

“ XFORMATION has been received at the Admiralty, that it has been decided to make the following changes in the lights

at Cape Race and Cape l’ine, on the south-east coast of New- l'oundland, viz. :—

The ﬁxed light at Cape Race to be altered to a rrz'olriuy white light, attaining its greatest brilliancy every Izrdf‘minure.

’l‘he revolving light at Cape Pine to be altered to a ﬁnd white light.

It is expected that these changes may take place some time in August 1.505, but the precise date, with further information, will be published in a subsequent Notice.
