Cuickens ar Summersipe.~--The chicken fattening station at Summerside is mak -

ing good progress, and considerable in- terest is being taken in it. Mr. A. W.

Woodard, of Ottawa, visited the station on Friday last and gave a demonstration as to the proper way to kill. etc., as hedid in Charlottetown. He intends returning to Summerside Monday afternoon when the chickens now being fattened—about 275 —will be killed and prepared for ship~ ment. At thie station fifteen chickens are kept in a coop aad the coops have made ap average gain of about six pounds per week. A number of chickens have al- ready been reeeiyed torthe next shipment which will consist of 300 fattened by the Government and 400 or 500 fattened on his own account. capitaiiioinn
