THE NATURAL HISTORY MAGAZINES found on the tables at our meetings were given to EES‘EbcIety by mrs. Ruth Osborne. douthport. In each copy there is a page entitled "Celestial Events". News about planets will not be up-to—date because the magazines are not current. However, for $53 constellations and fixed stars. the maps are always good, e. p.,

a January map is good for January any year.

CHARLOTTETOWN AREA BIRD SIGHTTNCS. Mrs. Gwen Fichaud of Crestwood Dr. reported a white-throated sparrow and a male Baltimore oriole on Dec. 18th. For four years a female Baltimore oriole has Seen a regular guest at her feeder from November until February. Two sona sparrows and a robin are regular winter callers.

About two blocks away, on North River Road, Frank Tinney notes a pair of Baltimore orioles every day. and also a yellow—ramped (myrtle) warbler,

a robin and a purple finch.

Mrs. A. F. Gormley reported a purple finch and a robin on Dec. 18 at her feeder on Hawthorne Are.

On Dec. 21 there was a congregation of 15 robins on the lawn of Harry Morris. Lewis Point.

Mrs. J. P. Lantz, Southport, saw a mourning dove at her feeder lately.
