‘W f —PROCESSED POTATOES ‘ SHIPPED -- Ten carioads of de- hydrated potatoes have been ship- ped overseas from the plant here. t was announced by an official of Island Foods Inc. The shipment was said to have been the largest since operations began. A double shift is still working, it was lear- ned, but the processing of potatoes is expected to be discontinued within a comparatively short time. Once the warm weather starts potatoes sprouting dehydra- tion is dicontinued. In addition supplies of potatoes in this Pro- vince are becoming short. —S

Fire Destroys Darn lit Wellington

On Wednesday morning between five and six o’ clock, fire destroyed a barn belonging to E F‘. Gaudet of the firm of Arsenault 8nd Cvaudet at Wellington. Cause of the fire has riot yet been determined. It had made consider-able headway before being discovered. Although the A.R.P. apparatus was used the flames farmed by s heavy gale burned the building to the ground as well as its contents which in- cluded two mllclh cows. a calf, a quantity of feeds and some haw-S.
