Council Office, “ MAY 7th, 1867. HIS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was

this day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invoice of Dutiable Goods, imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as follows:—

In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents of the paper currency of the United States, the amount of such Invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of FOUR SHILLINGS AND SIX-PENCE, and in the like proportion for any fraction of a Dol- lar; of which all Collectors of Impost are to take notice and govern

P UBLIC Notice is hereby given, that Her Majesty’s Supreme

Court of Judicature, Court of Assmo and General Jail delivery for Prince County, will be held at the Court House, in St. Eleanor’s, on Tuesday, the 11th day ofJUNE next, at the hour of Ten o’clock, forenoon, of the same day, of which all Justices, Coro- ners, High and Petty Constables and Bailifl's will take notice, and laying aside all manner of business and excuses whatsoever, be then and there to do and fulfil those things which by reason of their

[No.20] Gulf of St. Lawrence. FIXED LIGHT IN GASI’E BAY.

V ‘HE Trinity House at Quebec has given Notice that during the season the navigation is open, a Light will be exhibited on the Peninsula in GaSpe Bay, 12 miles N. W. byN. from Cape Gaspc. The light is a fixed white light, elevated 40 feet above the level of the sea, with the following bearings from it :— Cape Haldimand, South. Gaspe Basin, W. % S. The light is intended to serve as a. guide to vessels passing between Sandy Beach and the main land opposite. [All Bearings arc'Magncz‘ic. Georgetown Local Assessment.

THE owners and occupiers of all Town and Water Lots, and Parts of Lots in Georgetown, are hereby notified that by virtue of the Statute of 24th Victoria, Cap. 25, the following Assess- ment has been levied, to wit: On all improved Lots, two shillings each; on all unimproved Lots, six shillings and eight pence each; and on parts of Lots rateably in proportion,——that the same is now due and payable to me within forty days from date. \VM.
