By the death of Mrs. Captain Sullivan, New Bedford, Maes., a family in Halifax has fallen heir to a considerable eum of money. The fortunate inheritors are Robert Fuley and his two sisters, Madam Foley, furmer superior of the Sacred Heart c-nvent, now holding the same position in London, Unt.,and Mrs. Coleman. The sum left to each is $10,000.

A Berlin despatch to the London Stand- ard reports that the Frankfurter Zeitung has a despatch from Constantinople which says that uegotiations are on foot between the powers and the porte for the abroga- tion of certain portions of the Dardanelles treaty. The Sultan is not averse to the project, says the despatch. The powers will guarantee protection to the Sultan and the integrity of the Turkish empire if the measure is carried out without fresh atrocities.
