Okay everyone, pull out your trusty daytimer and reserve Thursday, October 15 for anight at the Panther Lounge because we’ re going to have the biggest pub of the entire semester!!! We’ re going to be bringing in the Irish Descend- ants from Newfoundland. These four Newfs play the best partyin’ and drinkin’ music around. Their sets include favourites like ‘‘ Wild Rover’’, ‘‘Mary Mack’’, and the always popular ‘‘Unicorn’’. We’re expecting sucha big crowd that we’re going to have advance sale of tickets. These will cost only $3.00 and can be bought from Campus Police, bartenders, and the Student Union office (The Barn). We’re going to set aside a small number of tickets to be sold the night of the pub, so get your tickets early. This pub will be another wet/dry event so we will pack the Barn right to the third floor. Also, just a note to remind everyone that the Lounge is open during the day, although we don’t start serving until 6:00pm. also open during the day so you can stay awake through those long classes. This week’s movies are Bugsy and Beethoven, while movies showing on Oct. 16 will be Terminator and Terminator II: Judgement Day, an Arnie double-header. If the bar staff seems a little slow this week it’s because we had the first staff party of the year last Saturday night. All of our rookie bartenders were initiate - some more than others, right Billy!!! The Lounge is now subscribing toa premium video service called Network Video. Through Network Video, the lounge will receive high quality, up to date video releases. So now that you’re done reading, run on down to the Panther Lounge to get your ticket for next Thursday’s Irish Descendants pub night. We have only 475 tickets for sale and they’ Il surely be gone before the 15th.
