Planes Hove Rods To Spot Subs

BURBANK, Calif.. (AP) - The new tail of United States Navy Neptune airplanes contains "div- ining rods" that can spot under- water submarines. Iockheed Alr- crsft Corp. disclosed Friday.

The long. pointed tail appeared a few months ago on the Lockheed- buiit P-2-V Neptunes.
