Loxpoy, June 11—Mrs William Lang- ley, of 21 Euclid Ave., London South, has for the past five years been subjected to fits. She was treated by doctors in Lan- sing and Detroit, Mich., and by three dif- ferent physicians in London. No one of them could cure her. About two months ago she began using Dodd’s Kidney Pills. Since then she has had no return of the fits. To-day she is perfectly cured. Her trouble was undoubtedly due to kidney disorder, a fact which the physiciang who treated her never discovered and conse- quently, their treatment was in vain.
In Nebraska a man was convicted of theft and sentenced to a year’s imprison- ment. A new trial was asked for, but the man served his time and was discharged before the Supreme Court decided he was entitled to the trial.

Is Your Skin Tender.
The skin is really the most wonderful and important organ of the human body. Night and dsy, every hour of our lives, it is filtering out from the blood useless or poisonods debris. If it stopped work even for twenty-four hours in any case, death would ensue. The skin and mucous membrane of some persons is much more sensitive than others. A person who in summer is subject to freckles, tanned or burned skin, in winter to colds from skin chills, bronchitis, chaps or chilblains, ought (whether at home or traveling) to keep a bottle of Johnson’s Anodyne Lini- ment near at hand. Dilute the liniment with water end gently bathe, or moisten a cloth with itand lay upon irritated skin if sensitive; then wash clean in the morning with Castile soap.and water. If a person who takes cold quickly is predisposed to bronchitis or catarrh, or exposed to any poi- son, irritating, to the skin, or consumption will every night, before retiring, bathe the chest and throat with Johnson’s Anodyne Liniment and, before dressing in the morn- ing, rub the whole chest {smartly with a coarse towel, slightly damped, and then wipe dry, we believe they will never have pulmorary troubles, or disease from defec- tive working of the skin. Beruiy, June 11.—The Pope s attitude towards cremation was announced Wed- nesday in the Catholic diocesan council of Brelegegau. His opinion that cremation, while heretical in principle, may be allow- ed under special conditions, which amount toa guarantee against public scandal. The Catholic clergy may officiate at ser- vices over bodies to be cremated not at a crematorium.

The attention of Commercial Travellers is called to the following sections of an Act
ssed by the Legislative Assembly of Prince fdward Isiand, Session 1894, intituled “an Act to Impose a Direct ‘Tax on Certain Classes ot Traders ” :—
1. “ From and after the passing of this Act every casual trader not permanentiy residing inthis Province doing business within this Province, commonly known as * Commercial Travellers,” and every person not permanent- ly residing in this Province, and who sells either for himself or any other person any
8, wares or merchandize in this Province, or solicits or canvasses for orders either for himselfor any other person for the sale, ex- change or purchase of any goods, wares or merchandize within this Province, either by the production of samples, photographs, cata- logues, printed or written matter, or simply by word of mouth without the production of samples, photographs, catalogues, printed or written matter, shall, before he or she enters upon the business of so selling any goods, wares or merchandize, or soliciting or can- vassing for such orders, pay to the Provincial Treasurer of this Province an annual licen-e fee or direct tax of fifteen dollars.”
2. *Upon payment of the said license fee or direct tax, the said Provincial Treasurer shall grant a license authorizing the person therein named to se]] goods, wares and mer- chandize in this Province, and to solicit and canvass for orders for the sale, exchange or purchase of goods, wares and merchandize within this Provinee. Such license shall be
nted and remain in force for the space of one year following the date upon which the said license shall be granted and no longer.”
3. “ Any such Commercial Traveller or per- son not permanently residing in this ie. vince as aforesaid, who, after the passing of this Act, shall sell any goods, wares or mer- chandize, or solicit or canvass for orders for the sale, exchange or purchase of any goods, wares or merchandize in any manner afore- said within this Province without hayin first paid the said license fee or direct tax, an obtained the said licen:e, shall for each and every occasion upon which he or she shail sell any goods, wares or merchandize, or soli- citor canvass foran order for the sale, ex- change or purchase of any 8, Wares or merchandize as aforesaid, be liable to pay the sum of two hundred dollars tothe said Pro- vincial Treasurer,”
