Mar. 5 - Bruce Smith will be speaking on "Community Wildlife Enhancement Projects on PEI" and help you plan your own project at the Natural History Society's meeting. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm at the Farm Centre on University Avenue in Charlottetown.

Mar. 6 a The Public Forest Council will host its 1-" public meeting on forest wealth creation initiatives in Island’s 33,200 ha of public forests. The evening will commence at 6:30 pm at the Whim Inn at Poole"s Corner with displays of various wealth creation possibilities followed by a public meeting at 7:30 pm to allow the public- to express its thoughts, ideas, and concerns over various wealth creation initiatives. Mid-April - Glen Kelly will lead a Natural History Society field trip to help us see the awakening of the wood frogs and salamanders in the Pisquid- area. Sign up at a Society meeting or telephone Eric at 675-3056 (evenings). Banicipants will at the junction of Routes 21 and 22 near Pisquid River Bridge.

Apr; 19 - Island Nature Trust's l-8th- annual fund dinner and auction at- the Delta Prince Edward beginning at 6:00pm. Tickets are $40» each and may be ordered by calling 892-7513.

April 22 - Earth» Day’s 32"Id Anniversary. Earth Weeks 2002 run from April 14 to 29th. All are invited to implement an environmental activity or project in their community. You can register projects online at www.cathday.ca.

Apr. 29 - Hike the beautiful Dune Trail in the Greenwich adjunct to Prince Edward Island National Park. A National Park guide will discuss dune ecology and the describe-the raredune formations found at this site. Meet at the Greenwich Visitor Reception Centre at l-:00' pm. Numbers are limited so please pre¢register by calling 672-6350, Monday to Friday between 8 am and 4:30» pm.

May 7 - Ben Hoteling will thrill the Natural History Society audience with his presentation “Island Wildflowers”. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm at the Farm Centre on University Avenue in Charlottetown.

Jun. 4 - Bill Oehlke will speak on the "Butterflies of Prince Edward Island at the Natural History Society's meeting. Bill has raised, studied, and sold moths and butterflies for many years and brings a wealth of enthusiasm and knowledge to this presentation. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm at the Farm Centre on University Avenue in Charlottetown.
