Wasuincroyx, July 29.—Although the owners of the barkentine-Herbert Fuller, now lying at Halifax, are desirous of hay- ing the ship resume the voyage interrupted by the murder of Captain Nash, his wife and his second mate, and have shipped another captain and men to fill the vacan- in the ship’s company, it is by no means certain that she can be permitted to proceed on her way to Rosario.

Object to Greece Shipping Arms and Am- munition to the Island of Crete,

ConsrantTinopLe, July 28.—As a result of a cabinet council just held the Turkish government to-day made a formal com- plait to the government of Greece regard ing the alleged shipment of arms and am-— niunition from Greece to the irland cf Crete for the use of the insurgents there, and relative tothe appearance of armed bands in Macedonia, pointing out the danger iherefrom tothe peace of Europe, aud adding that Greece would be held respon- sible for it, The Turkish governicent also announced that it had been decided to grantlimited concession to the Cretans, and that they will be allowed repreeenta- tion. The powers, it is stated, have de- cided to rend a coilective note to Greece, ieclaring that the goveroment of the latter country mu-t suppress the matters com - plained of by the Turkish goverment. Adding that otherwise the Sultan of Tur- key will be left te resiore order in Crete. It is rumored here thatthe Turkish govern- medt intewds to despatch a force of Al- banians against the Greek filibusters, a step which will undoubtedly add to the gravity of the situation,

The harbor ijlumination at night was a magnificent spectacle. There was a grand pyrotechnic display from the boats moored in the centre of the harbor, followed by « procession of boats of all descriptions, a}l illuminated in different designs. At the conclusion a schooner was set on fire and afterwards blown up by submarine mines in illustration of a mimic attack on a warship.
