NeEWFOUNDLAND 1N Port.—The steamer Newfoundland arrived here from Sydney, C. B., yesterday, with a cargo of run cf mine, nut and slack coa! for Peake Bros & Co. The Newfoundland is commanded by Captain Farquhar, and obtained some notoriety as a blockade ruoner during the recent war between the United States and Spain.

Scppen Deatu.—We regret to learn of the death of Mr. Harry Wright which oc- curred very suddenly at his home )ast night from heart disease. Mr Wright was passing from one room to the other at the time and dropped dead on the thres hold of the door. He expired, instently. He leaves a widow snd three children, He was acon of the late Mr. G. Wright.
