'I‘rinlty United Church, Char- lottetown. was the scene of a quiet but pretty spring wedding on Wednesday, June 4th. at 3 p. m.. when Muriel Elizabeth tBettyl daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Ken- neth MacKenzie. Charlottetown. was united in marriage to John Gilmore. son of Mr.- and Mrs. Murdock Gilmore. Melville, P.E.I.

Officiating at. the ceremony was Rev. T. E. MacLerinan.

The bride. given m marriage by her father, was smartly gowried in a sky-blue suit and matching flower hat with a corsrige of red roses. The groom's gift to his bride was a lovely string of pearls. The bride's only attendant was her sister Kathrymwho wore a rose suit with white flower hat and corsage of white carnotions. The ushers were Messrs. Martin Gilmore and Eddie MacKenzie. The wedding music was played by Professor A. Roy Kendall and the soloist Mr. Martin Gilmore, who sang" "I'll Walk Beside You".

Following the wedding cere- mony a reception was held at the Queen Hotel, where 26 guests partook of a delightful luncheon. The table was centred by a three tier wedding calieTTlie toast to the bride was proposed by Rev. T. E. MacLennan and was re- sponded to by the groom.

The bride and groom then left on a motor trip to points of in- terest in the Marltimes.

Previous to the wedding the bride received many lovely gifts which included a substantial cheque from J. W. Windsor Com- pany where the bride has been employed for the past several years.

The Department said the lob- ster had been contaminated bya disease producing organism known as staphylococcus. which can be carried in the nose or throat of individuals without them showing symptoms of dis. case.
