On Friday September 12th, 2008 up and coming Canadian comic Sabrina Jalees will be making her first appearance at the Wave.

Born in the butt-crack middle of the 1980's, SabrinaJalees has taken the comedy world by storm... and is working on creating at least a heavy wind on the rest of the planet. Since she set foot on the Yuk Yuk's stage for the first time at 16, she has been the youngest stand-up ever added to their professional ros- ter. She later broke Mike

Meyer's record for being the youngest artist hired by Second City.

Attracting attention with her blunt take on being raised Muslim in a waspy neighborhood, Sabrina's unique humor has garnered her tons of press attention from spreads in Cosmo Girl to Marie Claire Italy. has performed at the Just For Laughs Festival, recorded a Comedy NOW special for CTV and has toured across North America and England.

Early in her career, the stand up broke onto the small screen with hosting roles in CBC's Smart Ask and The Toronto Show. Sabrina later joined the award winning American based comedy tour Allah Made Me

Funny in Toronto, Vancouver and Chicago, opening for Russell Peters. She recently shot her first film, play- ing the pregnant Sarah, in Lifetime's Mom At Sixteen. Today at 22, she is both a headlining comic and touring motivational speaker, most recog- nized for her leading role on Much Music's Video On Trial. .

Sabrina is also a regular correspon- dent for The Gill Deacon Show and a staple in Slice Network's new docu- mentary-based series Plastic Makes Perfect. Sabrina has also branched out into the wonderful world of writing, working on television shorts for The Comedy Network, CBC and her

weekly humor column for The Toronto Star, the most read newspaper in Canada.

All this while graduating with a B.A. in Ryerson University's acclaimed Radio and Television Program...With all this behind her, if all goes as planned, Sabrina should cause the biggest stir ever to hit the world... or become washed-up and bitter by the age of an. ;
