Tenders for Steam Communication be- tween Souris, Georgetown, Murray

Harbor and Pictou. ,

ENDERS are required to be sent into the Colonial Secretary's Office on or before THURSDAY, the 16th day of MAY next, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, by any Person or Company who may be willing to contract to run a STEAMER once or twice a week for the Conveyance of Passengers and Freights, and Mails, if required, between Souris, Georgetown, Murray Harbor, and Pictou, touching at each Port going and returning, so long as the Navigation shall remain open, from the First day of JUNE next to the close of the Season of 1867, and during the open season in the two following years—1868 and 1869. The Tenders must specify the Tonnage and Power of the Vessel to be supplied, and the amount required to he paid for the performance of the service required, and be ac- companied by the names of two parties willing to become Sureties for the due performance of the Contract. The Tender must also state what amount will be required for the present year’s service alone, and also how much for one and 'how much for two trips in each week during the above

Tenders for a. Sailing Packet between Georgetownjnd Pietou.

EALED TENDERS will be received at this Ofiice until MONDAY, the 6th day of MAY next, at 2 o’clock, p. m., from .any person or persons being willing to furnish the Government with .a fast-sailing, staunch, substantial VESSEL, of not less than 50 tons burtheii, -O. M., having good Cabin accommodation for passengers, ,and being sufficiently manned and fully and properly equipped and .apparelled, and subject in all things to the approval of the Govern- ment. The said Vessel to be required to run as a packet for the conveyance of Her Majesty’s Mails, and for the accommodation of passengers, between the port of Georgetown in this Island, and the port of lv’ictou in Nova Scotia, from the 20th day of MAY next until the 3lst day of DECEMBER, iii the present year, 1867. The said service required to be performed as follows, viz: The Packet shall leave Georgetown wharf for l’lctou, and Pictou for Georgetown, upon such days, during the above named period, as shall be fixed upon by the Government, and shall be subject to such alteration in the days fixed for leaving Georgetown and Pictou as the Govern- ment shall at any time direct and require. The Tender is required to name the age, tonnage, rig and acconi

modatioii of the vessel tendered, and also the sum which the Ten ~

derer will engage to perform the whole term of service for, and fur nish, also, the names of two persons of known responsibility, Wh') will become bound for the due performance of the service. All freight and passage money to be the property of the owner of the vessel. The Tender is required to eXpress on its cover: “ Tender

Tenders for Georgetown Ferry.

EALED TENDERS will he received at this Office, until 12 o’clock, iioou,on THURSDAY, the inth day of APRIL next, for

the conveyance of Passengers and their Luggage, Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Swine, and Agricultural Produce, Carts and Riding Vehicles, across the Ferry called the Georgetown Ferry, for the period of THREE YEARS, from the 1st day of MAY next. Tenders must express the lowest rates at which the Tenderer will carry Passen- gers each, also llorses, Cattle, &c., each per head, and Vehicles

each; also Produce per bushel, and Luggage per ewt.

The Tenderer is required to keep on the said Ferry one or more proper, staunch, sound flat-bottomed Boats, of not less than sixteen feet in length, manned each with two able and steady men, and to he at all times ready, when required, to cross the Ferry, between Sun-rise and Sun-set, while the Ferry shall remain open and free from lee, and shall be subject to all other conditions and restrictions as are set forth and required by the Act 3, \Vill. 4, cap. 8, regulating Ferries.

The names of two securities must accompany the Tender, which is required to have marked on the cover, " Tender for Georgetown Ferry.”

Vehicles, Horses. Cattle, Sheep. Calves, Swine, Grain, Flour, Meal, and Vegetables, overand across \Valshtowu Ferry, Lot 1], in terms of" the Act 3, \Viil. 4, Cap. 8.

The Tenders must express the rate of Ferriage demanded on the above severally, and be accuuipaiiied by the names of [We good Securities willing to become bound for the due performance of the serwce.

Tenders must express on the covers, “ Tenders for Waishtown Ferry, Lot 11.”

Luggage, Vehicles, Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Calves, Swine, Grain, Flour, Meal, and Vegetables, over and across South West River, New London, in terms of the Act 3, Will. 4, Cap. 8.

The Tender must express the rate of Ferriage demanded on the above severally, and be aecmnpanicd by the names of two good securities willing to become bound for the due performance of the sermon.

Tenders must express on the covers, “Tender for South West

River, New London."

China Point to Port Selkirk Wharf Ferry.

SEALED TENDERS will be received at this Office until 12 o’clock, noon, on THURSDAY, the 25th day of APRIL next, for the conveyance over the above Ferry of Passengers and their Luggage, Horses, Cattle, Sheep, and Swine; also, for Agricultural Produce and Vehicles. from the hour of sun-rise and until sunset in each day, during the. open season, for a period of Three Years, from the first day of May next ensuing.

The names of two sufficient securities for the due execution of this service, are required to accompany Tenders, which must be marked on their covers, “ Tenders fer China Point Ferry.” GEORGE COLES, Colonial Secretary.
