That long slow ice cream cone of summer has been

licked away for another year and now we face the un— certainties of fall weather and certainty of approach- Another inevitable aspect of the future is more economic gloom: no jobs, no money, high costs Well, at least we have the possibility

of our very own constitution to look forward, to.

What a treat that will be; a collective lift of Cana- dian consciousness (to see us through the troubled times ahead) . ‘

Fall, however, is another current event which

is even more relevant to us than the constitution. This unpredictable season is always a welcomed wake— \ ‘up call after that mental hibernation of summer. ‘

Dear Freshmen,

The third week of school is almost finished and it is time you met your represent— atives in council.

The president of the Freshmen class is myself — Robyn Hume. Vice—president — Gerard MacDonald, Treasurer — Laura Ferris, Secretary - Jamie Doucette.

It is unfortunate that we were elected not by enthusiastic and interested students but by acclaimation.

Should Jack keep- Callie off the Pahthe'r‘S? This is a‘guestion which is going around the * campus and many people" are argueing about. Many people say “that Jack "The Ripper" Hines is doing the right thing. Well, I for one do not;

Why keep asman off a team when what he did last was better for himself? When you are on a team which is going
