WOW! I told you those head wounds were still giving me trouble, but I didn't expect the end of last week's episode to be so confusing. There were some big holes in my ramblings about principles. Let me try to fill them in.

I got it straight about the old Universe being into Univer- sality. And I was right to tell you that Cosmos exuded Cosmopolitanism, even if the most Cosmopolitan of the old Pures are, largely, gone. But the part about quEI was all messed up. I meant to say it was ccnmitted both to Growth and to Insularity. The former \went pretty well with the idea of being an Empire. But the latter tended to contradict the fonmx.

(Of course they were all in constant conflict as to what the Cardinal Prin- ciples were.) If you don't understand Principles, you'll never be able to get the story straight.
