Having completed these co- urses I can honestly say that each, though they wi- ll not become continuing concerns of mine, broaden- ed my horizons and played an important part of my academic career. Oddly en— ough it was probably the competition that spurred me, a person with little n natural gift for understa— nding geomorphology and elimatology, on to placing fifth in a class of over 200 students in physical geography. My learning, though "compelled", was indeed satisfying in that field. Ironically, the course that I enjoyed mo- st thoroughly (and worked very hard at) was a requ- ired course that I would not have otherwise taken. I realize that I am drawi- ng too heavily on my own experience here but it um» uld be interesting to find v out if many other students do not share similar backs grounds. well, again I've written too much (I"m sorry Ms. typist) so I won't attem- pt to answer Mr Cregier's letter point by point. The major change in the Barn has been the taking ov- er of the food serviceby the Student Union. This was done in order to cut down in cost of food to the students, and as far as I can see to date, this has been a suCCess.

Over the summer months, the Barn was rented out to vari- ous organizations and produ- ced a profit of $1400.00. It is hoped that next summer
