F. W. Hyndman, W. D. Stewart, D. A McDonald (Mount Stewart), and ex-Govy-| ernor Laird, also addressed the meeting. Mr. Hyndman’s speech was an explanation ! of his career as Provincial Auditor, w hile } the others abounded in campaign rant, | groundleas statements, etc. During his! speech, ex Governor Laird endeavored, in vain, to free himself from his agreement to forego the Fishery Award.
Three cheers were given for the Chair- men, and the meeting dispersed.
