Found Dead.

Mrs. Vance, a woman of fifty years, was found dead in her house on Long Street, at half-past ten o'clock this morning. The matter was at once reported to the police, and Coroner McLeod was notified. They immediately viewed the body as it lay in the position it was discovered. She was lying with her head gathered down to the breast apparently as if she had fallen in an

The bridge will be so high, I am told, as not to be submerged by the heaviest spring tides. It leads directly from the road on

the south side to the junciion of the roads on the north side of the Bay, and will thus be an

improvement on the roundabout structure which, though still in very fair repair, was inconvenient to the travelling public. If the bridge is being finished in the efficient style in which it stood at the time I saw it, the genial and obliging contractor, Hugh Lord McDonald, Esq., will well deserve the praise a generous public and a friendly Goverument is prepared to give him.
