MEETING NOTICE '

Due to the nasty weather prevailing on January thirteenth, the annual meeting of the P.E.I. Natural History Society has had to be postponed until February 3. At that time the report of the nominating committee will be presented and the election of officers for 1981 will take place. Program will feature Winston Johnston, who will introduce us to the world of nature as portrayed on postage stamps. As usual lunch will be provided. The environmentally-minded among us are asked to bring their own mug;

SLIDE CONTEST

Members are reminded of the annual nature slide contest, with entries to be shown at the May meeting. To be eligible, slides must have been taken by a Society member and not have been entered in any previous Natural History Society contest. Prizes will be offered and all entries will be returned. Slides should be sent to Margaret Mallett, 53 Fitzroy Street, Charlottetown by April 7, 1981.

QQEEN'S PRINTER RECYCLES PAPER

Telephone message pads in P.E.I. government offices now have printed material on the back. The reason is that the message pads are printed on the back of old reports, listings of available materials, and other beaurocratic gobbeldy-gook which has not seen the light of day, or has outlived its use- fulness. Congratulations are in order for this fine example of resource

conservation. Resycling paper is one way we can lessen demands on forest resources, and lt s eaSier on the taxpayer‘s wallet too.
