SABBATH Scuoot ANNIVERSARY. —The Sab- bath Scheol in connection with the Prince Street Methodist Church will hold its anniver- sary service on to-morrow (Sunday) evening,at half-past six o'clock. The sermon will be preached by Rev. H. P. Cowperthwaite, M. A., Pastor of the Church. The scholars of the school will occupy the gailaries and con- duct the singing.

THe steamer *‘ Carroll,” which sailed for Beston on Thursday, had a cargo consisting ef $00 boxes canned lobsters, 2u0 bbls. pota- tees, and about 500 boxes eggs. EXAMINA TIONS— SCHOLARSHIPS. — The ex- aminations for Teachers’ Licenses of the Third Class and fer entrance to the Prince of Wales’ College ani Normal School, will commence in the Collez: Building, on Tuesday, the 17th day of August next, at 10 o'clock a. m. Eight schelarships will be open for competition at this examination—two for each county and two for the City of Charlottetown. These scholarships can be competed for by pupils ef both sexes, under 19 years of age, who have veen in actual attendance at some district school, witliin the county or city for which they may compete, during at least six months previous to the date of the examination. Candidates must forward their applications to the ‘* Education Office’ before the Sth of August.

GRAND |ixcurston.—The steamer ‘ Prin- cess of Wales” will leave Charlottetown Wharf on Tuesday morning, 20th July, inst., at G o'clock, for Murray Harber direct, and will leave that port again at 10a. m., for

Pictou, leaving Pictou on return to Murray

Harbor about 2 p. m.; and will leave Murray darbor for Charlettetown at er about 6 o'clock in the evening.

Excursionists from Charlottetown will have the option of landing at Murray Harbor, spending tlie day inspecting the large lebster eauuing factories and fishing establishments in that vic nity, or proceeding on to Picton. Refreshments and Temperance beverages will he provided on board the beat, and a very enjoyable time may be expected.
