On Use of Potato ' Shed Al S'side

Federal member of parliament for Prince County, and held in Mr. Ma.cNaught's office yes- terday afternoon, the respective parties met. to see if some arrange- mnt could be made to enable ship- pers to continue to use the shed on the Marine Wharf at Summerside for storage purposes.

It was mutually decided that the .l.P. Porter construction firm should maintain use of a small portion of the shed for office use and storage Durposes, and that the shippers will be allowed to use the rest of the shed for storage of potatoes awaiting shipment up to the 25th of November.

The J.P. Porter and Son, Mont- rcsl. construction firm. has the contract for the reconstruction of the Marine wharf. and this meet- ing resulted from the calling of tenders by the construction firm which called for the demolition of the storage shed on this wharf by the 15th of October.

The construction company ex- pects to commence operations about the first of November. and hope to be able to bring a floating tile driv- ing plant to Summerside about that time, depending on weather condi- tions and the completion of tow. ing arrangements.

Steel piling for the project is ar- riving almost daily. and is coming in faster than hoped for some time ago.
