Sandra Dunsford appeared to be the leading nominee for the "Goat of the Game" that designation so often given to a player when a close game is lost. A stout heart, however, does not give way to adversity easily so when Janet Trainor stole the ball downcourt & / made an accurate heave to Sandy, who was surrounded by jumping & arm waiving Santa— marians, she knew just what to do with it...just as she was being deposited on her hyp— ertrophied gluteus maximua she made a desperate arching throw that went through the basket just as the buzzer* sounded to give us a 59-58 victory. For this heroic feat Sandra becomes our pick for the "1975 Jock Talk Extra Effort Award"...This award & 60 cents will get her’beer

Although the play of all the Panthers was excellent ~ we'd be remiss if we did not mention that center

On Friday night the Pan— thers played the kind of game we enjoy....they took an ea— rly lead over Memorial and never looked back, winning 98-56 after leading 55—21 at the half. It was a ple- asant evening .-.the real contest being in their eff- orts to keep the Panthers short of the 100 point mark.
