Wierd feclings of regret we have to record the death of John Thomas White, son of Char- les White, of Murray River. The deceased left home aboat six years ago and by per- severance and industry worked himself up to the pesition of mate of the brig “Clara J. Adams,” of New York, aud was to take charge of her as Captain on her return trip from the West indies, Sad news reached his fathera few days ago announcing his death, by yellow ‘fever, at Cuba, after an illness of six days.
