Imagine this scenario: some cretin has egged our very own precious new windows of the beautiful Duffy building. How do different students react to such atrocity?

Fine Arts students - discuss ad nauseum how the egging is a work of modern art and what it represents.

English students - write a book, poem, or a personal essay about the event and then try to write a critique on it either from feminist or archetypal point of view.

Women’s Studies students — write a feminist critique on it.

Journalism students -—quickly write an article for The Cadre, The Guardian, or the ones suffering from illusions de grandeur, for The New Yorker.

Anthropology students - try to geta holistic perspective on the event before

doing anything.

Asian Studies students - try to make chicken chow mein.

Island Studies students - away ona conference thus missing the event. -

Modern Language students - discuss the event in class in the enenase they're studying.

Political students — either blame the event on the government or try to contact the government in order to take some measures.

Religious Studies students - oh my God!

History students - recall, witha smirk

Imagine Duffy Egged

on their face, other times when UPEI buildings were egged

And the professors? Well, they’re the ones who did the eggin’.

Education students-— teach other students about the wrongs of egging the

Duffy building.

Business students - try to organize the egg-cleaning fundraiser.

Engineering students- gaze serenely

from Cass building and not get involved.

Music students - one unlucky fellow

who happened to be outside of the Steele building runs back to Steele to tell everybody else what happened.

Computer Science and IT students - immediately after seeing or hearing about the happening, they would go online and post the news on the UPEI website.

Math students — try to figure out |

where the assailants were standing when they assailed the building using vector calculus

Physics students - try to do the same things as the math students, though they

would need calculators.

Chemistry students - go around

telling everybody about the special egg enzymes that make it possible for the eggs to stay stuck to the windows.

Vet students - try to scrape the eggs from the windows and nurse them back

to healthy chicken.

Nursing students — they are too busy giving CPR to one another to care

Nutrition students - count the calories in all the eggs.

Biology students - discuss the chicken

reproductive system.

Philosophy students — argue whether the building was really egged in reality.

Psychology students - try to analyze in detail what kind of a person could have done such a deed.

Charlottetown MP Shawn Murphy interjected and put the onus on the provincial government for refusing to sign into a federal-provincial infrastructure fund worth $54 Million to the province. Murphy suggested that part of this fund could be allocated for public transit in Charlottetown. He was hopeful a deal could be reached with the province in the next month. However, Murphy warned, “for public transit to work in Charlottetown, it will require a cultural change in Charlottetown by the people that live here to use the buses.”
