Dorothy Dale, of Duryea, Pa., wanted to marry Jacob Kaufman. Her mother was willing, but her brother Nathan objected. In spite of his objection the wedding day was fixed. An hour or so before the time set for the wedding his mother took him aside. and producing a glass of beer for him, argued with him while he drank it.
