For the Conveyance of Western INLAND MAILS-

Sealed—Tenders

ILL be received by the Subscriber, at the General

Post Office, Charlottetown, until \Vednesday the 8th day of September next, at 12 o’clock, noon, from persons willing to contract for the conveyance of Inland Mails for three years, from the first day. of October next, on the sev- c 111 and respective routes, as follows :

First—From Chariettetown to Summerside, returning via Saint Elee “to s, semi-weekly, in a covered carriage, drawn by two her 8, by the Main \Vestcrn Road. to Traveller’s Rest, thr .ce by main road to Sulnmcrside. The contractor to provide branch couriers to convey Mails, semi-week- ly, to and from VVheatly ‘liver, New Glasgow, Rustico, North Rustico, Cavendish, Hope River and New Lon- don; mail for New Glasgow to be forwarded from Bag- nall’s in the winter months. when practicable; and to and from Indian River, Princetown and Darnley, semi- weekly; and to and from Mai-gate, Burlington, Park Corner and French lliver, semi-weekly. returning the following morning in time to meet the courier returmng to Charlotte— town from Summerside. Also, to provide a branch courier to convey mails to and from the Post Office at Graham’s Road, weekly.

Second— From J ohnston’s, Princetown Road. to and from New Wiltshire, Lot 67, Somerset, Middleton and Free- town, weekly; returning in time to meet courier the follow. 7' ‘g day.

Third—From Summerside to Barrett's Cross, semi-week- l . yFourth-«From Summerside to Centrcville, via North Be- deque, returning via Lower Freetown, semisweekly.

Fifth—From Summerside to and from Tignish along the Great Western Road as far as Gavan’s, thence through Al- berton to Tignish, semi-weekly, in a carriage drawn by two horses. The contractor to provide branch couriers. as fol- lows :—From Mount Pleasant to the Post Office at Lot 12, semi-weekly; from McDonald's, or thereabouts, to Lot 11 Post Office, semi-weekly; from McIsaac's, or thereabouts, via Brae Road to \Vest Point, returning via O’Leary Road, semi-weekly; from Craswell’s, or thereabouts, for Post Of- fice at Lot 6, semi-weekly; from Gavan’s, or thereabouts, to Post Office at Lot 7 and Miminigash, semi—weekly; from Kildaie Bridge Post Office to Post Office at Kildare Capes, semi—Weekly; from Tignish Post Office to Skinner’s Pond Post Office, weekly. All the branch couriers to return in time to meet courier for Sumvnerside.

Sixth—From Summerside to Port Hill, via Lot 16 and Lot 14 Post O ffices, returning in tune the following morn~ ing to meet courier at Saint Eleanor's. semi-weekly.

Seventh—From Miscouche, taking mails to Fifteen Point, Egmont Bay and Higgin's road, returning in time to meet courier for Summerside at Post Office, Wellington, weekly.

The contractors. in all casvs, to commence their trips on such days and on such hours of such days as may be agreed on by the Postmaster General, and also to call at all the Post Offices that now or may hereafter be established in the several routes, for the purpose of receiving and delivering mails. '

Sufficient security will be required for the performance of' each contract. ‘ .

Each tender to specify on the cover the service for which it is offered.

APlan of the Great \Vestern Road, with the different branches required, can be seen at the Post Office, Summer- aide or Charlottetown. '

Proposals will also be received, at the same time and place, from persons willing to undertake the whole of: the seven different contracts above mentioned, with the various branches, and to make the journey from Charlottetown to Tignish in ONE DAY, returning the following day —all the branches to meet as above mentioned.

I have taken and seized as the property of the said James McVVade, All the Right, Title and Leasehold Interest of the said James Mc- Wade, in and to eleven acres of Leasehold Land. more or less, with the buildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging, viz: bounded on the north by Ilillsborough River, south by land occupied by James German, east by George Scott’s farm. west by Pisquid Road. situated on Township No. 37, in Queen’s County; and I do hereby give Public Notice that I will, on the Twenty- fifth day of February; A.
