Land League Meeting at Mill Cove / The inhabitants of Mill Cove spent a very enjoyable evening, on Wednesday, the 12th inst. The School-house was densely crowded by persons of all classes, ‘creeds and nationalities. The President, James Trainer, Esq., occupied the chair. The speakers from Charlottetown were |Mrs. E. W. The big bell of St. Mary’s, of course, has been tolling ever since the death, and, to day, as the funeral passed through the streets, the bells of St. Luke’s cathedral and St. Paul’s church were also tolled.

Among the mourners in the procession were ‘many clergymen of Protestant churches. On arriving at the Cemetery of the Holy Cross, the usual burial service was repeated and the coffin was lowered into its final resting place.
