Honorary Degrees

The Honorary Degree Committee is seeking names of candidates for honorary degrees to be conferred at Convocation in May, 1991.

All submissions are to be made:

a) with supporting documentation, such as an updated curriculum vitae, at least of a preliminary nature; and

b) with a care for the fact that the nominee may be asked to address Convocation.

Submissions should be sent to the Registrar for forwarding to the Committee.

Nomination Deadline: 1990.

Student Exchange Travel, Fun, Experience...

This could be you next year! Think about a Student Exchange!

There will be a general information night concerning Student Exchange Programs offered at UPEI. This will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 1990.in Room 104 in the Robertson Library. This will be a very informal meeting to discuss the aims, objectives, and benefits of participating in a University Exchange Program.

Any interested students are welcome to attend and find out more about UPEI’s exchange programs!

Figure Skating - 1990/91!

There are now opportunities for ex-figure skaters to continue to participate in the sport.

We have several clubs in the immediate area that provide both senior & adult time.

We also have openings for coaching positions both at the volunteer level and for individuals who might consider a paid teaching position at a low level club situation.

CanSkate clinics and CanFigureskate Clinics are now being scheduled.

We are now in immediate need for a coach for one club. This could be an opportunity for anywhere from one to three days a week depending on your schedule & availability. This is an opportunity for group work, private lessons and_ possibly precision.
