Mrs. Kennedy. in her 98th year. passed away at the home of her daughter. Mrs. John Fraser. Montaguem on Monday morning after a short illness. A large number attended the service to pay their last respects to the grand old lady who spent the greater part of her life in Mur- ray Harbour North. Rev. F. N. Young of Montague Presbyterian Church conducted the service. as- sisted by Dr. A. D. Macxenzie of Trinity Church. Meeting At

The Federation of Agriculture went on record as favoring a pro- gram of artificial insemination for increasing the horse population on P.E.!. at aisoeclei meeting of the Federation held at Yeo's Theatre. Montague. last evening. Wilfred MacDonald. Brudeneli. was chair- man. '

The ouestion of the declining horse population was brought for- ward by one of the members. who explained that there were very few foals on farms today. whereas twenty years ago almost every form had at least one. He attributed this to lack of good sires. and stated that a. program of artificial insem- ination should be considereu as a possible means of increasing the horse population in the nrovince.

Prior to the meeting a film was shown on the marketing of dairy products. and the advertising carri- palgn which is being carried on to publicise and sell the products.

During his speech. Mr. J. L. Dewar. Federation secretary. refer- red to the film, re-emphasising the great need of a large promotion and advertising campaign to sell dairy products to the large con- sumer field.
