real good will and real friendship I have ever seen on P. E. I. I wit- nessed in Montague, two great big flags on separate staffs, the Stars and Stripes and the Union Jack. I saw these flags flying on my way to the races at Montague, and again on two other occasions in my driv- ing through Montague. 0n inquir- ing who and why the patriotic dis- play, I was informed that it was by visitors, a Mr. and Mrs. Edward R. Murphy, of Boston, (Mrs. Murphy was Miss lsabell Gordon of New Perth), who spend three months each summer -at their beautiful place; that the flags are flying ev- ery day. This, I think is a wonder- ful sight and I would like to see a display such as this carried out by our own people to fly their flag. WHY I READ THE GUARDIAN

Sin-Different nwvspapers are beng read all over our province, but there are none so interesting and lntellrotual as the “Charlotte- town Guardian". I have been a reader of this newspaper for many years. and have always found it my best friend. You are never a.- lone of an evening when you have such an intcrestng paper to read.

It contains, I may say the most important news from all p111: of the world. Lately it has been very interesting to read of the progress being made in the United States under the new President Franklin D. Roosevelt and other such inter- esting subjects. Its editorials are always informative and enlighten- lng.

Each day there is a most inter- esting column printed under the heading “That Body of Yours" by Dr. Baiton which contains very many important facts about the human body, and how to keep well.

Another feature which enables the dress maker to obtain many beautiful patterns for so little is the fashion column which also ap- pears each clay.

Again, the house wife finds it very helpful when she can get so many nice rccipies from_tlie paper each day.

Ancthcr fact that makcs our paper popular is the stories which are very interesting to both the young and old alike of Prince Ed- ward Island.

Even the children are lovers of the paper for they look forward each day to the comic section "Bringing Up Father" which they consider a very essential feature. The sport pagn is interesting to both young and old.
