Florence. Sept. 22.

Gen. Garibaldi has issued astirring address announcing that the time has now come to overthrow the tyranny of the Pope, restore Rome to Italy. and give the eternal city its ancient supremacy, as the ciipital of the Ital- ian nation. A proclnumtion has also been promulgated by King Victor Emanuel, warn- ing all Italians against taking part in or aiding or abetting a revolutionary movement against Rome, which is denounced a crime against the laws of Italy and nations.

The proclamation concludes with ’ a trust that the Government will not fail to visit with vigorous )unislnnent all persons found eu- gagcd in i legal hostilities against the papal authority.

London, Sept. 22.

A despatch from Rome states that tile Pope

has publicly denounced tliu proposed sale of church lands in Italy, and declared the decree of the Italian Government to that eifect to be null and void. Copenhagen, Sept. 22.
