i Truly. the fall season has ar- lrived and is Well advanced. Every passing dsy is becomim ahorter and shorter; The trees. which seem to have reached the climax of their beauty. are beginning to lose their finery. Farmers are busy harvesting their potatocrops and getting the fall plowing done

before the snow begins to drift. Baseball is all over (with apologies to Peakesl for another

year and already the winter sport of hockey has startcd. In spite of these preparations for winter. the past few days have been char- ncleristic of those of July or Aug- ust. Perhaps this is what they call "Indian summer.” is it?

The only two organizations whose executives for the coating year have not been given to you are the Glee Club and the Sigma Delta Sorority. since they have been left to the last. we should perhaps elaborate on them I lit- tle more than we did on the others. The Glee Club provides various forms of entertainment for the student body and also for out- side institutions such as the Pro- vincial sanatorium. An important move cfaot on the campus concerns the hixh school representation in the Stu- dents' Union. A: in other years, the question nose this year again. whether or not high school could have a studentsl Union of its own. However. due to the small size of the student body and the added expense. it we: decided At the students' Union meeting on Tues- day night that such a project would be almost impossible. As I compromise. it was aunoawd that the representation from High School in the Student! Union be increased from one to three rap- resentatives-one from each of Grade XII. Grade Xi, and Grade X and Commercial. The suggestion was discussed pm and con and the decision was to follow it. At present the Constitution is being amended to that Affect and High school hereafter will have three representatives in the student! Union. Congratulations high school!
