We serve the campus and the Charlottetown area as the only source for university news, sports, andcurrent affairs, as wellas enter- tainment features and articles de- voted to everything under the sun (and a few things not under it). That’s not all we provide, though. The X-Press also gives stu- dents the opportunity to get involved with the paper. The X-Press is written, edited, and produced by students, and we're always seeking new volunteers to do the countless fun and fascinating jobs that go into throwing together a university paper.

Well, we always needa few creative souls to do things like write stories, take pictures, draw cartoons, write creative pieces (like poetry), or just help out around the office. No special experience is necessary (though it can’t hurt) and if need be we're here to explain all the enchanting secrets of writing and putting together a newspaper. Joining

How do you get involved) It’s fiendishly simple. We're open to anybody anytime. Give usa call at 566-0629 (an answering machine will take your message if we're gone), or drop by our office in the Main Building (Room 06 in the basement, near those tempting vending ma- chines), where you can drop off messages or submissions if we aren’t in. There’s usually somebody there, though, and if you really want to get to know us up close and personal then you can come to our weekly staff meetings (featuring, among other things, FREE PIZZA\). Meetings are Tuesday evenings at 6:30, and the first meeting of the year is September four- teenth. Come on in and be all you can be (and have some fun while you’re at it!).
