We have much pleaeure in extending a cordial invitation to Sir Louis to pay us another visit, as the Conservatives are anxious to terder him a banquet tor asei+t-

As many young ladies are just now wondering what New Year resolutions

Norra- West Creameries.—The official statement of the output of the North- West creameries controlled by the Dapart- ment of Agriculture gives better results this year than in 1898. In 1897 there were
sixteen creameries in Operation, nineteen in 1898 and twenty in 1899. The total quantity of butter made in 1897 was 173,903 pounds, last year it was 484,- 984 pound-, and this year 501,820 ponnds. The gross value of the product in
264 ; last year, $93,740, and this year $105 383. Most of this produet has gone to British Columbia, but a guood trade is beitg worked up in Japan for Cenadian butterin one and two pound tine. This year the output was_ worth about 20 cents per pound at the creamery, which is nearly one anda balf cente more thao last year’s product brought.
