At the October 7 meeting of the Natural History Society, Dan McAskill will be giving information on the 16th annual Canadian Nature Federation Conference to be held in Saskatoon next June.

The conference will help celebrate a century of wildlife conservation - on the 100th anniversary of Last Mountain Lake Wildlife Sanctuary Canada's first. Field trips are planned as far north as Churchill, Manioba, and as far south as the Cypress Hills, Saskatchewan - from tundra to boreal forest to aspen parkland to grassland.

Between June 5 - 8, interested naturalists will meet at the University of Saskatchewan. The symposium emphasizes Conservation on the Prairies - past and present. The banquet features Saskatoon berry pie and other local treats. A wine and cheese party at the Diefenbaker Centre highlights a Nature Art show as well as Diefenbaker memorabilia. Accommodation and meals are available on the greystone campus of the University of Saskatchewan.
