~~<Foghat - Great Without Bass

The vocals on the album are good, as is the guitar work. Peverett, Price, and Jameson play guitars and get.together on some fine, vocal harmonies. The harm- onies do—not strike me as beautiful, but maybe the proper word would be plea- sant . -

For the most part the album is a driving style, with very few breaks in the is driving force.

The title song "FoOd for the City", starts the album with a good driving force.

Dave PeVerett, Red Price ‘Roger Earl, and Rick James- on, sometimes referred to as Foghat, have recently relea— sed Food for the City. For the most part it is a good album and Foghat could be a good group if they would re- place their drummer and bass player. The drummer is fast in places, but lacks any great coordination or sync— opation. The bass player, Jameson, lacks any knowle- dge of how to play bass.

"My Babe" is a good boo— gie, but with simple bass and drum lines. This song sounds strikingly like Copper Penny, vocal-wise. Again, the guitarist shows some gutsy lead.

"Slow Ride" is a slow driving song, but partway through the Song, the guit— arist.and bass player stop

The Bee Gees Concert fi— nally made it to the Moncton Coliseum on Sunday — a con- cert everyone should have stayed-home from to protest the inconvenience caused by Thursday's cancellation - probably due to low ticket sales more than any accident which may or may not have occured.
