Potrery.—-The sale of the P. E. Island Pdttery on Wednesday next, at noon, offers a rare chance to those wishing to start in busi- ness. This Pottery was started seven or eight years ago. It had many difficulties to over- come but succeeded. To-day it manufactures a& ware which competes successfully with for- eign make for the Island trade. The ground covers an area of about five acres, the build- ings and kiln are in excellent order. The business is a live one, anda _ splendid stock of ware is now on hand, for which the purchaser of the Pottery will have first offer. The shareholders have determined to sell, feeling that 2 business like this can only be success- fully run when under personal supervision of the owner, which cannot be obtained in a company. This is a golden eypsrinanty for any one wishing to obtain a fair business.

DIED. At his residence, Melville Road, Lot 29, on Wednesday, the 26th ult., after a short but pain- ful illness which he bore with exemplary atience and resignation to the Divine Will, ‘rancis Malone, Esq., in the 67th year of his age. Deceased was born in the Parish of Donagh, County Monaghan, Ireland, in the year 1819, and emigrated to this Island in the year 1841. Shortly after his arrival on the Island he settled on the farm occupied by him at the time of his death, and being an honest, thrifty, industrious man, he soon acquired independent means, and continu- ing to prosper steadily, was possessed of consider- able of this world's goods at the time of his decease. He was a good husband, a kind father, an obliging neighbor and a wise and prudent counsellor. Respected and esteemed by all with whom he became acquainted, his presence will be much missed in the community in which he resided. He leaves a wife and four daughters, besides a large circle of friends and acquaint- ancesto mourn their irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace.
