Alberton and Tignish Fire De- partments were called‘out dur- ing the noon hour on Saturday to fight a stubborn house fire in Montrose. The house, owned by Fred C. Ramsay, M.L.A., and located across the road from his own residence, was occupied by Mr. Ramsay’s hired man, Aime Cormier, his wife and two-year- old son.

The fire appeared to have started on the north side of the second story and spread between the walls. Its origin is not known.
