'That the storm was quite widespread is evident by Tufts (1986) record of an estimated 1,000 Dovekies seen in Sydney Harbour, Cape Breton, on October 25, 1930, which were in a weakened condition, some of which when picked up and tossed in the air were able to fly away. - ’

BIRDATHON RAISES S FOR GEOFF HOGAN BIOLOGY RESEARCH FUND by'Diane Griffin

The Francis Bain Birdathon conducted on May 30th by the Natural History Society raised $3,000 for the Geoff Hogan Biology Honours Research Fund, bringing the fund to over $14,000. Awards from this fund will support undergraduate biological research at the University of Prince Edward Island.
